 There are 27 Consolata Missionaries attending the 2008 Consulta, 17 of them are exercising their ministry as superiors of the Regions and Delegations.  I had a friend who always wondered if truly God forgives his sins. He used to say that he would do anything to know that God forgives his offences. “I can’t really accept the idea that all I have to do is trust him. That’s too cheap!”, he once told me. Being a miner, one day I asked him: “Frank, have you been working today?” He said he had been working the whole day, and in fact in the deepest part of the mine. |

La Comunità di S. Egidio su richiesta di Giovanni Paolo II conserva della nella Chiesa di S. Bartolomeo le reliquie dei martiri del nostro tempo.
Tra questi, dal 12 Ottobre, sull’altare dedicato ai martiri dell’Africa, si trova anche il crocifisso che Sr. Leonella portava quando è stata colpita a morte il 17 di settembre del 2006 a Mogadiscio.

 Is Rwanda about to invade the Democratic Republic of Congo? That was the big question last week as tension and military activity continued to build up rapidly in eastern Congo.
It is clear that relations between Kigali and Kinshasa are worsening by the day, with the two parties trading accusations and the rhetoric between leaders of the neighbouring countries becoming more strident by the day. |
