Meditazione

Sarebbe interessante se Dio rispondesse affermativamente a tutte le nostre richieste. Non ci sarebbero più poveri, malati, infelici… Invece sembra che Lui non ascolti tutti i favori che Gli chiediamo.

Ma non sarà che magari non sappiamo come e cosa chiedere? Poi, molte volte Lui risponde in altri modi e tempi. Inoltre, Lui ci offre anche la possibilità di diventare la Sua risposta alla preghiera di altri. Però, se viviamo la vita centrati in noi stessi e chiusi ai bisogni degli altri, certamente la nostra preghiera non sarà mai efficace. Se prima di chiedere proviamo a ringraziarlo per ciò che abbiamo, la nostra preghiera sarà diversa.

Preghiera

Gesù, risposta del Padre,
Insegnami ad essere paziente,
A non fare della mia preghiera una lista di richieste
Ma a lodarti con le labbra e con la vita.
Amen.

Azione

Cosa dico di solito a Dio nella mi preghiera? E cosa aspetto da Lui? Una risposta immediata o l’ispirazione per diventare più fedele al suo amore?

Globalization and the Gospel: The Challenge of Religious Life
Introduction

For the last couple of days we have been talking about the globalization, the Church, and mission. In this our final day of the conference we want to look at the role of religious life and spirituality in our current global climate. The issue of globalization, as is abundantly clear, is so complex and far reaching that we often do not even know where to begin. As leaders of Religious Communities, you know the great extent to which Religious life also has been affected, positively and negatively, by these changes. Discerning the presence of the Spirit and committing ourselves to the demands of the gospel is the foremost challenge we face, and it is the reason why we are here for these days.
