I would not like the readers to find this article as an advertisement of Habesha City Tour, but as good news for the entire Country. To be frank, it is true that this type of Bus has never been found in Ethiopia, in particular in Addis Ababa. The way it has been advertised in the Capital City, Addis Ababa, shows that the New Millennium brings good news for the Country.Addis Ababa is dominated by the 3000-meter high Entoto Mountains immediately to the north. Addis Ababa is the largest city grown at an astonishing speed since it was founded over a century ago.
Covering 250 square kilometres (97 square miles) the city rambles pleasantly across many wooded hillsides and gullies cut through with fast flowing stream. Addis Ababa was founded in effect in 1886 when Emperor Menelik consort, queen Taytu asked her husband for a piece of land on which to build a house at the foothills of Entoto Mountains. In the same year empress Taytu named the new settlement “Addis Ababa”, literally meaning “New flower” in local language (Amharic).
There is much to do and experience within in the capital. Conference Halls and Squares, Museums and Cultural Institutes, Historical Statues and monuments, Churches and Mosques, Palaces etc,… But it was not easy for everyone to visit those places due in somehow to the cost of transport means. Nowadays, “Habesha City Tour” which is a private company wants to facilitate the visitors to get acquainted with those several sites in Addis Ababa. It has organized the Sightseeing and tour services with London Style double Decker buses to explore the adventure of Addis Ababa. The route for the double Decker tour covers almost all the historic and tourist attraction sites of the capital. At all events, we hope the Double Decker Buses will help the visitors to fulfil their dream, which may be for some, the desire to visit most of the important sites in Addis Ababa.
Congratulations to “Habesha City Tour”! |
